This year the Albemarle Hospice volunteers are taking to the street to host the first annual Albemarle Hospice 5k. This event will promote running, health, and exercise in the local community while also supporting and promoting hospice care.
The main sponsor of this year’s 5k is Mildred’s Florist of Elizabeth City, NC. Along with arranging flowers for any occasion they sell a variety of gifts and jewelry, as well as Vera Bradley! Check them out at www.mildredsflorist.com or in person at 710 W. Ehringhaus St. Elizabeth City, NC 27909.
Registration:
On-line registration is powered by www.active.com. To register on-line click the active.com image below. On-line registration will close at midnight on August 4th. Those who register on or before August 4th will be charged a fee of $20. The registration fee increases to $25 after August 4th. Day of the race registration will be available and will begin at 6:30 a.m. in Waterfront Park in downtown Elizabeth City. Runners will be able to pick-up their race day packets the evening of Friday, August 6th at the Pelican Marina between 6:30 and 8:30 p.m. or the morning of the race at a designated table. The race will begin at 8:00 a.m. Saturday, August 7th.
Course:
The course will begin at Waterfront Park in downtown Elizabeth City. See below for an image of the race course.

Awards Categories:
Awards will be given to the top three overall male and female finishers and will also be given to the top three male and female competitors of each age category:
◦12 & under ◦13-19 ◦20-24 ◦25-29 ◦30-34 ◦35-39 ◦40-44 ◦45-49 ◦50-54 ◦55 & up
